Alderstead Learning Hub provides access to learning resources, guidance and signposting for people using the local education system.

How the Learning Hub can help

The Hub can help learners identify resources, understand local education routes and find the institution or service responsible for a learning need. It supports access rather than replacing the teaching role of a school or college.

Support and accessibility

If a learner needs help accessing local education information or an appropriate adjustment, the Learning Hub can help identify the relevant council, institution or national education route.

Finding the right learning route

The Learning Hub is especially useful where a learner knows what they want to achieve but is unsure which institution or service owns the next step. It can signpost between school, college, Study School, council support and other competent education or skills services while keeping the distinction between those institutions clear.

Finding the right education route

The Learning Hub is useful when a learner knows what they want to achieve but is unsure which institution or service owns the next step. It can signpost between school, college, Study School, council support and other competent education or skills services without merging those institutions into one service.

The Hub supports access to information and resources; teaching and formal educational decisions remain with the education institution responsible for them.
